In an effort to educate ourselves and others about the issues at hand, we offer the opportunities listed below. 

Educating ourselves:

• The Pro-life library in the Center for Peace & Justice provides many materials for learning more about all different life issues.  Anyone is welcome to use this library at any time.  

• Many times we will invite professors and other educators to speak at our meetings.  Check our web page regularly to see who may be coming to speak.

Educating each other:

• Each week one member of Villanovans for Life gives an education presentation on a topic about or surrounding life issues during our general meeting.

How to Defend Your Pro-Life Views in 5 Minutes or Less: By Scott Klusendorf

1. Stick to the main issue: "Is the unborn a member of the human family?"

2. Use science and philosophy.

• "Scientifically, we know that from the earliest stages of development, the unborn are distinct, living, and whole human beings."

• Remember the SLED acronym when talking about non-essential differences.

  • Size

  • Level of development

  • Environment

  • Degree of dependency

    3. Challenge people to be honest and consistent.
